In a significant move for President Trump’s administration, the FBI has provided the names of agents involved in the January 6 investigations to the Department of Justice. The information was shared through a secure, classified system, with Acting Director Brian Driscoll confirming no public release of the names is planned.
FBI whistleblower Garret O’Boyle criticized the delay in providing the information, stating the FBI should have complied immediately with the legal request. Initially, the FBI provided only employee ID numbers, job titles, and roles, withholding names.
Acting Deputy Attorney General Emil Bove assured that agents who acted ethically in the investigation would not face penalties. Meanwhile, some Republicans, like Senator Marsha Blackburn, argue that Democrats fear Kash Patel, Trump’s FBI nominee, because he knows their involvement in the “Russia collusion” hoax and advocates for transparency in Washington.
Blackburn also highlighted Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s efforts to locate missing migrant children, claiming the Biden Administration has failed to address the issue.
