In a recent interview, Russian President Vladimir Putin praised Donald Trump, saying his leadership could quickly restore order in Europe amid the Ukraine war. Putin also claimed some European nations interfered in the 2020 U.S. election, preferring Joe Biden over Trump due to their differing views on issues like gender policy.
Trump suggested a negotiated settlement between the U.S., Russia, and Ukraine could be close,he said ”the war wouldn’t have started if he were president”. He avoided confirming any direct talks with Putin.
Trump has criticized Ukrainian President Zelensky for not striking a deal with Putin earlier. Meanwhile, Zelensky clarified that Ukraine has received about $76 billion in U.S. aid, not $200 billion as claimed, with much of the funding going to U.S. industries and military programs.
