Three Sisters Found Dead at Campsite After Vanishing With Their Father
Three young sisters — Paityn, 9, Evelyn, 8, and Olivia Decker, 5 — were found dead near a remote Washington State campsite after vanishing during a court-approved visit with their father, Travis Decker.
Authorities discovered the girls’ bodies Monday near Rock Island Campground, not far from Decker’s abandoned truck. Each child had a plastic bag over her head and zip ties around her wrists. The truck contained car seats, food, and Decker’s wallet — but no sign of the father.
Decker, 32, a military veteran with known mental health issues, is now wanted for three counts of aggravated first-degree murder and kidnapping. A manhunt involving local police, the FBI, and U.S. Marshals is underway. He was last seen wearing a light shirt and dark shorts and should not be approached.
The girls’ mother, Whitney, had previously raised concerns about Decker’s mental state and unsafe visitation conditions in court filings. Despite this, she allowed the visit, believing he loved his daughters.
A vigil held Tuesday in Wenatchee drew over 300 mourners. A GoFundMe for the family has raised over $350,000.
Law enforcement urges anyone with information to contact authorities immediately.
