Elon Musk claimed Thursday that former President Trump would have lost the 2024 election without his help, intensifying a feud between the two.
“Without me, Trump would have lost… Such ingratitude,” Musk posted on X.
Musk spent millions supporting Trump’s campaign, joined him on the trail, and later served briefly in the administration overseeing government efficiency. His final day was Friday.
The clash followed Musk’s criticism of Trump’s “big, beautiful bill,” which he called “pork-filled” and a threat to the federal budget.
Trump, speaking from the Oval Office, said he was “very surprised” and “disappointed” by Musk’s attacks, though he still expressed some personal fondness.
