Tom Homan, President Trump’s Border Czar, had a tense exchange with CNN’s Kaitlan Collins during an interview about the administration’s mass deportation efforts. Collins questioned ICE’s actions in schools, hospitals and etc, suggesting it could intimidate parents. Homan responded firmly, stating that there should be no fear unless a child is a public safety or national security threat.
Homan emphasized that illegal immigration is a crime, and the law must be enforced, adding that no one is safe from deportation if they pose a threat.
In a separate Fox News interview, Homan updated viewers on the administration’s deportation efforts, revealing that the Pentagon was providing more airlift support than expected. This assistance allows ICE agents to focus on their core mission and helps ease the Department of Homeland Security’s budget strain. Homan noted the military’s help was crucial and appreciated, especially as it was organized in just three days.
